The now traditional October TOUR took place in the Yorkshire Moors and Dales. Like 12 years ago, Steve and Sally did all the planning and organisation, what a task!
On arrival at the Hardwick Hotel, we were welcomed by Sally and Steve and an excellent selection of yummy cakes, well worth it after a long drive.
This year we had quite a variety of quattros: 8 originals and 6 modern.
Hardwick Hotel was this year’s venue, an excellent choice plus we had our exclusive and reserved parking in front of the hotel.
Day 1 - The Dales: an anticipated route of approx. 232 miles. The directions were absolutely spot on, one could not get lost, very precise with highlighted information along the route. Mid-morning we had our traditional coffee and cake stop. At lunch time we stopped at the High Force Hotel and we were able to walk down to the High Force waterfall (21m. drop). In the afternoon we drove via the North Pennines National Landscape, great views and interesting roads.
Day 2 - The Moors: Another bright day with sunshine. Great drive to the coffee stop 52 miles away, a great time to talk about things quattro. Later we went towards Hutton-le-Hole and Blakey Bridge stopping for lunch in Pickering.
In the afternoon we went through a couple of watersplashes. Scenery was outstanding on very enjoyable roads. Once in Goathland, we went to the Northern Yorkshire Moors Railways Station as the famous Flying Scotsman steam engine was coming through part of Railways 200 Celebrations.

Everybody enjoyed driving the quattros old and new, total relaxation on most definitely quattro roads. We all had a super time and it was great to meet the usual and addicted Tourers and as always, we welcomed the latest "virgin" Tourers.
Last but not least, a massive thanks to the organisers, Sally and Steve, for the excellent planning and venue.
Now looking forward to the next TOUR in October 2026. Put the date in your calendar, you will not regret it.
