Classic Car Spectacular
Early June was our annual trip to Tatton Park for the Classic Car Spectacular. This is a fabulous show which has been taking place now for over 30 years. The show is a 2 day event with over 2500 cars on display, along with a huge autojumble, bars, food outlets and entertainment for the children.
We had a great line up of 9 cars each day on the stand, some doing both days … Cars ranged from Graham Heatley’s 1981 Helios Blue to my Pearlescent White MB (registered March 1990).
Our stand was much smaller than anticipated, therefore we had to improvise! We angled the cars left & right, with club gazebo rear centre and the final car sitting nose front/centre.
To our delight we won an award in the ‘Best Club Stand’ category! Taking into consideration there are 82 club stands at the show, this award is a great achievement for the members that attended over the 2 days. A huge thank you to everyone that gave up their time, cleaned their cars and contributed to the event.
The next Tatton Park event is 18th & 19th August. Hopefully we will have a larger stand. Please contact me to book your place …. We may even get some committee members joining us...!!!
