The club area at Castle Combe attracted a good turnout of 8 Urs, on what turned out to be a bright sunny day, with 2 members showing their Ur on the concours area. We also had a Rally A1 replica car taking advantage of some practice on the track throughout the day. Castle Combe is always a good day out and everybody enjoyed the relaxed friendly atmosphere and meeting up with other members.
Audi UK had a good display from their heritage fleet, including Frank Biela's 1996 A4 BTCC winning car. Some people were lucky to have a prize-winning draw ticket to get a ride in one of Audi's R8 Plus V10's. Three laps driven by Steve Warburton who is currently leader in the e-FP series of electric formula racing. An experience not to forget and a good way to see Castle Combe from the other side.
One of our members with an immaculate Oceanic Blue Ur, took runner up in the concours even. He and his son certainly do use a lot of polish and attention, something for us to learn next time.
